A New Jersey native, Steve Fretz earned a BA in English in 1984 from Drew University and a BS in Computer Science from Ramapo College in 1987. One of the early adapters to digital photography, he began taking digital pictures in 1995. His work has been exhibited in many local venues including the Cooper Gallery in Jersey City. He has exhibited throughout the Northeast including at OK Harris, a leading 20th New York City gallery owned by the legendary gallerist Ivan Karp.
