Thank you to Benjamin J. Dineen III and Dennis C. Hull for the generous donation of this work. While the words in this print are widely attributed to John Muir, he didn't actually write them. He wrote, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe." He also wrote, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find that it is bound fast by a thousand invisible cords that cannot be broken, to everything in the Universe."
