This is one of three finely carved and polished, African wood (royal palm) wine cups. Each has a carved handle and is made from a single piece of hardwood. Each in incised from top to bottom with intricate geometric designs of the Kuba people. They are from the southeastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
