This prehistoric stone pipe in the form of a wolf head is Mississippian. It was made by the Cahokia peoples. It was attributed to the late Woodland Archaic Period 1000-1500 AD, but more research is needed. Thank you to Dr. Jonathan Klarsfeld for the generous donation of this work.
