- Wood Carving
- 6.5 x 2.25 in (16.51 x 5.72 cm)
This carved wood doll of a stylized female with a large created hairstyle comes from the Mossi peoples of Burkina Faso. Allegedly this fetish figure is intended to kindle maternal instincts. Thank you to Dr. Jonathan Klarsfeld for the generous donation of this work.
