Walter Darby Barnard (1934-2016) was a "color field" painter. His work is in major museum collections like the Metropolitan Museum and the Whitney, also in NJ collections: Rutgers/Zimmerli, The Newark Museum, the Morris Museum, and the Montclair Museum.
