The artist states: "Protests have sprung up throughout Los Angeles and around the U.S. demanding accountability for the murder of Black and brown residents by police and sheriffs. Being born and raised in L.A., I understand we share a beautiful legacy around anti-Blackness. I believe we are mending and healing severed relations are in a defining moment where we need to show up for each other to protect and defend Black lives as we divest from the institution and culture of policing".
