According to a 2023 exhibit at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA): "Athena Tacha was one of the first artists to be in residence at the Brodsky Center since its founding in 1986. After practicing as both an artist and an art curator, she became a full-time sculptor and environmental artist. Over the past several decades, she has focused on public commissions in urban settings. She designed the Matthias Baldwin Park, located between 18th and 19th Street at Hamilton Street in Philadelphia (1981–1992), comprising terraces that ripples over two acres of green lawns with perennial flowers, interrupted by rock towers that echo the city skyline in the distance. Tacha lives and works in Washington, DC. Her work is in the collections of the Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin College, OH, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY".
