Artist Statement
Story-telling is the basis of all kinds of art. No matter the medium, the art will always have a story to tell even if it isn’t straight-forward. I’m an aspiring artist who wishes to express that with my art. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been attached to one particular medium of story-telling through art and that is animation. Currently, I practice more traditional mediums like paint, ink and colored pencils as shown in my most recent artworks as I believe one should master the basics of traditional art alongside delving into the digital side. Through these traditional pieces, I am practicing techniques that I will add to my digital work that enables me to tell the stories I aspire to tell. Each one of my artworks is inspired by a range of different stories that have inspired me, whether that be from novels, movies, master paintings and other media.
