The artist says "My upbringing in a vibrant Mexican household ignited my love for creativity. Initially drawn to fashion and styling, my journey into art was unexpected. Surprisingly, watercolor became a passion I never anticipated, and now becoming the main medium I work with. As stated in the first few sentences, I was raised by Mexican parents, and as a first-generation daughter deeply rooted in Mexican heritage, I proudly embrace my Chicana identity while expressing myself as an artist, forming a sincere connection through my work with the rich tapestry of my culture. My family, community, and Mexican-American artists I look up to serve as my greatest influences. Working with acrylic, watercolor, and charcoal, I find my artistic stride primarily in watercolor and ink, which shine in my most successful pieces. Each creation begins with a brainstorm of the idea and the message I wish to convey, drawing inspiration from my family and cultural background. I aspire to transition into an art school offering fashion design studies while nurturing my passion for art. I aim to merge my fine arts foundation with fashion design and merchandising, believing that this comprehensive knowledge will shape my future as a Mexican-American artist expressing the beauty of my heritage and where my parents grew up in".
