I began a larger version of this painting at the Chateau du Bois Glaume last September and haven't finished it. I painted this in preparation and to remind myself of the feeling I was trying to capture. I loved this room in particular because of the richness of the silver color, together with the warm tones of the floor and gold curtain...just spectacular.
