Artist Statement:
This work explores Hope's arrival in a young woman's life. Inspired by Dickinson's "the thing with feathers that perches in the soul," I used found objects to visualize resilience and aspiration. Willow (Osier), crafted from metal, embodies strength, while Hope is a delicate, unexpected presence. The work celebrates their interplay, a visual metaphor for inner transformation.

Technique:
This assemblage utilizes found and discarded materials, meticulously pieced together to form a complex narrative. Layering techniques emphasize the interconnectedness of human emotion and environment, both tangible and abstract. Juxtapositions—hard/soft, 2D/3D, color/monochrome—are deliberately employed to disrupt expectations, inviting viewers to actively decipher the relationships presented and forge personal interpretations.
