Compost fascinates me. The slow, the fast, the mess, the beauty, the texture, the pungent fragrance, the death and birth. I am reminded to allow my thoughts to ferment, decompose, crumble. Rich things come from meticulously composting.
When I started my journey into gardening and composting, during the pandemic, I deeply connected with the beauty of the process. I asked friends and family to send me images of their compost. I painted from the various photos i received.
