In January of 2024 I decided to do the 'Drawing A Day' project for a month, offering an unframed watercolor and ink artwork for sale each day for 30 days at the price of $100 an donate the profits to a good cause of my choosing.. January 2024 came and went and I just kept drawing and gradually I decided I would see if I could keep posting them for an entire year.
This is #365 of my 2024 'Drawing A Day for Good' series. (2024 is a Leap Year so tomorrow's piece completes the year).
Each day I drew with ink into the small loose watercolor samplers that I created while teaching watercolor workshops over the years. Here I took and abstract landscape and enhanced it with black ink.
Because most of my professional paintings take a month or more to create, these drawings, usually done in one sitting, became a real source of pleasure. I consider them active meditations. I will continue to draw in to watercolors in 2025, but I will not post every day.
I will continue to donate the profits from the sales of new pieces I add to my 'Drawing a Day for Good Collection, as well as any sales from the drawings added earlier/
Thank you for following this project and all your kind words. Happy almost New Year!
