The Weigh Anchor series captures a sense of anticipation—moments just before movement, where stillness and motion exist in tandem. Using layered oil and cold wax, each piece conjures abstracted coastal scenes: shifting light, distant masts, and atmospheric horizons. Tones of blues, yellows, and ochre drift through each composition, echoing the interplay of sea and sky. Impressions of rigging and landforms emerge subtly, inviting reflection on departure, arrival, and the quiet rituals of setting out. Together, the three works form a visual meditation on navigation, both literal and metaphorical.
