I started this painting standing on the trail to Stewart Falls, listening to the rush of water and feeling the cool mountain air. I worked on it there until the light changed, then brought it home to finish. It reminds me of the peace you find when you follow the path and let it lead you somewhere beautiful. When I brought it into the studio to refine the details while doing my best to keep the fresh feeling of that day.
