I'm so excited to announce the completion of the second work in my Appalachian Trail Series to commemorate my 10 year AT thu-hike anniversary! The Beauty Spot was such a magical place in Tennessee overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. I camped here with my beloved trail friend Snickers, and other members of my trail family. Watching this sunset while cooking over my camp stove was one of the most memorable moments I had on trail. We soaked in the red rays as sunbeams flitted in and out of clouds, illumining the undulating mountain range below. Depicted in my work are the plentiful rhododendrons that are iconic to the region, as well as waving stalks of goldenrod.
