This silver ewer, gleaming with timeless elegance, features a rounded, globular body embellished with elegantly spiraling ribs, each finely engraved with delicate floral motifs. It rests on a tall, flaring foot, which is also richly decorated with floral and geometric patterns. The waisted neck rises gracefully to a crescent-shaped mouth, resembling a ceremonial vessel. The spout, extending from the body, is designed in the form of a stylized makara head, with finely incised chevron patterns along its length. The curved handle is decorated with bands of engraved detailing, complementing the overall aesthetic. Closely related ewer illustrated in Mark Zebrowski’s Gold, Silver and Bronze from Mughal India (p. 157).
