When I was teaching at a university in Nairobi, I was assigned to teach a class in literacy.

Knowing nothing about literacy and not even liking it, I was relieved when a woman who both knew and loved literacy was assigned to ‘help me’ teach the class.

We not only worked well together; we laughed our heads off.

And the students learned lots about literacy, as well as about life and friendships and laughter.
You never know when a kindred spirit is going to show up, but you certainly know when they do!
