MessageCerulean blue distemper seals the ivory linen surface. The ghostlike mountain is painted with a traditional glaze recipe that allows it to shimmer and float on the edge of vision. As one moves around this painting it becomes more and less visible as it catches the light. A small arch at the base of the mountain suggests this is also a castle. The subtle vignette gives substance and significance to supreme 'nothingness'. It's lack of grounding dissolves the boundary frequently drawn between the natural world on Earth and the natural sphere of the cosmos.
Care label
Keep out of direct sunlight and damp spaces. Do not hang above radiators. Dust with soft brush. If storing, do not keep airtight, simply cover with a cotton sheet. Take care not to put pressure on the painting surface.
