Pool Sprite - Gratiola Amphiantha

South Carolina Wildlife magazine's July/August 2022 natural history article featured my illustration of the very rare, very small aquatic plant, Gratiola amphiantha. Also known as Pool sprite or Snorkleweed, it grows in only a few places in the Southeastern United States, in vernal pools on granitic outcrops - images of which were included in the work. So rare is the plant that no specimens were collected.
