This is a replica of the Cloister's Cross, an altar cross carved from walrus tusks from the 12th century. The cross consists of elaborate images and text referencing the Old and New Testament and condemning Jews. Acquired by the Metropolitan Museum in 1963, the origin is suspected to be from the abbey at Bury Saint Edmunds in Suffolk, England. An amazing work of iconography, the cross is carved with 92 figures and 98 inscriptions from the Old and New Testament.
