Jonas Merrill is a contemporary sculptor whose work explores the relationship between form, movement, and material transformation. Through fluid, minimalist shapes and carefully refined surfaces, he creates sculptures that appear suspended between solidity and motion. His practice is driven by an interest in how objects occupy space and how subtle shifts in form can evoke both natural and psychological associations. Working primarily in monochromatic palettes, Merrill creates contemplative works that invite viewers to slow down and reconsider the boundaries between the organic, the architectural, and the abstract. He lives and works in the United States.
