After 25 years making geometric abstract drawings on folders, which was a convenient support to carry when travelling regularly abroad, this painting was first attempt of the artist to paint on paper using Posca acrylic pens and he has continued using this medium since then.
One objective in his artworks is to make coexisting in harmony duality of concepts, for instance, monotony and diversity, simplicity and complexity.... And this painting is a perfect example. Indeed, when looking at this painting from a certain distance, the viewer experiences a feeling of monotony and of simplicity as it is only possible to notice green and black colors. But, when having a closer look at it, the viewer realizes that this painting is complex and full of diversity as it contains hundreds of triangle structures all having different geometric compositions inside.
Moreover, his painting required time, patience and effort from the artist to make this painting and the viewer needs to do the same to get all the details revealed and to enjoy this painting to its full extend. Similar to what happened to the artist while making it, this allows the viewer to reach a meditation and peacefulness mindset being conductive to relaxation, contemplation, mindfulness and reflection.
