Peg Fife was born in Manchester, NH in 1899. She divided her time between Hoboken, New Jersey and West Glover, Vermont. She was a regular participant at the GRACE workshop in Greensboro, Vermont. She began painting in her early 60’s when she took a few courses at the Art Student’s League in New York. She only began working consistently during her later years, saying, “I am finally old enough to stop worrying about making a fool of myself.” Peg died in Hoboken on February 1st, 1988.
