Located in the heart of Barton Village, Hamilton (Canada), the inspiration for Vintage Charm came from Nixon’s Grocery, a family-operated grocery store that served the community in the 1960s and 70s. Today, Barton Village is undergoing a remarkable transformation, driven by a strong community of entrepreneurs, makers, creatives, innovators, and residents. While many of the old buildings and storefront facades are vanishing or evolving into much-needed urban spaces and housing, the spirit of the community remains vibrant.
I am pleased to share that Vintage Charm has been juried into Glenhyrst’s Art Gallery of Brant 2025 Biennial Juried Exhibition, which celebrates the creativity and innovation of artists from across Ontario.
