When I have visited aquariums and spent time watching the seahorses I always step away afterwards with a sense of tenderness. They are such fragile and gentle little creatures made in the hand of God.
These two gentle creatures in this painting remind me of how we as marries people are meant to turn towards one another. As the brushwork formed on canvas, I ask myself the question, “Do I turn and posture myself towards my wife?
When hardness hits my heart, it is time spent with the Lord in prayer and His Word that reminds me to turn inward towards Him. It is when I am in the Father's tenderness towards me that I am kind and tender towards others. Forgiving, just as God forgave me because of what His one and only son, Jesus Christ, has done.
