This short Skirt Miao Village in the mountainous regions of southwestern China shares its customs with visitors. This young lady is demonstrating traditional tea service while wearing her ancestral costume. I created this painting for the "China Minorities-American Perceptions" show.
China, on the opposite side of the globe, its language, both spoken and written is about as different as you can get. It seems a challenge to move past our preconceived ideas of people with such different ways.
And yet, when we meet we see that we all have dreams; dreams for a happy life with peace, prosperity and special people to love.
