Jerrolyn, a now retired Medical Technologist, decided to take up painting before she retired to be certain to have a hobby in retirement. Many years ago, she was a member of her high school art club. A 1970 graduate of Grambling State University in Biology, she soon landed a job in Shreveport, Louisiana where she was able to pursue her interest in oil painting.
A promotion landed her in League City, Texas with the Clear Lake Regional Hospital. The resources of the City of Houston were now available, she once again was able to take up painting.
With retirement imminent, she started taking art classes at the College of the Mainland. Instruction included work in acrylic, pencil, watercolor and oil. She also attended classes at the Houston Art League.
