After learning, at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, how to turn an old kimono into book cloth, I decided the result was so interesting, and inviting, I would write some poems and make a set of books worth of such beautiful covers.
Tanks is the "big brother" of haiku - thirty-one syllables, five lines instead of twenty-on syllables, three lines. The aesthetics are the same – close observation of nature and to resulting reflections.
