'Electric Dream' is a Melbourne street scene by Australian stencil artist Geoff Cunningham. A lone figure walks beneath a web of overhead power lines, headphones on and lost in her own soundtrack as the city hums quietly around her.

The buildings are deliberately washed in pink, pushing the scene away from strict realism and into something closer to memory. Like an old photograph or slide, the place is recognisable, but the colour gives it a slightly dreamlike edge.

Created using Cunningham’s signature multi-layer stencil technique, the work is built up through carefully cut stencils and layered spray paint to capture those small cinematic moments of everyday Melbourne life we usually pass without noticing.

Each piece is created by hand using multiple hand-cut stencils and layers of spray paint, making every work unique.
