A fleeting city moment caught in full sun - tram wires overhead, shadows stretched across the road, and a lone figure moving through it all with purpose. Set against a distinctly Melbourne streetscape, the work plays with contrast between movement and structure, nostalgia and immediacy. The architecture, tramlines and passing traffic anchor the scene in place, while the woman becomes the emotional centre of it — self-contained, confident, and slightly cinematic. Part of my ongoing exploration of memory, place and Australian urban life, this piece draws on the visual language of vintage street scenes while pushing it into something more stylised and contemporary.
