This image shows two areas in space: the Orion Nebula and the Running Man Nebula.
"Nebula" means a cloud in space.
Baby stars are visible in the bright centre of the Orion Nebula on the right and young stars cause the blue glow of the Running Man Nebula on the left.
John Reichelt is a scientist with a PhD in Microbiology and an interest in astrophotography as a hobby.
