The life of stars can be seen in this single image. At the top left of the image is a part of the Eta Carinae Nebula, which is a star nursery region in space. In the centre of the image is the Gabriela Mistral Nebula which is full of baby stars and the glowing gas from which more baby stars are forming. At the bottom right of the image is the Gem Cluster comprised of young stars, with just a trace of their birth gases remaining. Over the whole image are adult stars, soon to be joined by the young stars in the Gem Cluster which will draft far apart to join the star community.
