The Tree of Life: Calming the Storm - One day we returned home and found that a violent storm had destroyed several trees in our neighborhood, including one tree falling on a neighbor’s home. (Fortunately, no one was hurt). But it served as a reminder of how powerful nature is, how small we can feel as a storm rages around us and how much we hope for safety. Once again, I researched various storms and the light emerging through the clouds as the sky clears and a sense of calm returns. This tree – influenced by the giant sequoia - had to look indestructible, rising through the storm as if bringing the sunlight back.
