I used cherry wood for the shadow box I crafted and I sculpted polymer cherries because Andy Warhol (an artist I admire) used cherries in his art. In The Philosophy of Andy Warhol, he stated that he preferred vegetarian food (especially jam and bread) instead of meat. I created this piece to show the complexity of humans and how appearances are deceiving. However, Andy was an astute observer of consumer culture, and he was in the Burger King commercial.
