11" x 14" Dew Drop is a pyrography and watercolor painting on wood inspired by the tulip fields at Windmill Island in Holland, MI. The start of spring is marked by these beautiful blooms emerging from the earth as the ground gives way to new life. This piece is carefully burned then painted to capture this moment. The ground is burned to create space for the painted buds and dew drops resting on the petals. As you walk through the tulip fields, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature.
