I painted "Inner Strength" as the winter promised to come to an end but the pandemic restrictions lingered on. I came across a quote by Bruce Lee "Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind." I started this painting in the studio with just that thought in mind....seeking that flexibility and resilience within. I find painting meditative and sometimes if I am able to get out of my own way something magical happens.
