Monk Boudreaux, Frenchy’s big chief. The reference for this painting came from a photo by Jeffrey Dupre’. Having painted the Bo Dollis for Jazz Fest, Frenchy decided to do a portrait of Monk, thus re-uniting these two Mardi Gras Indian Chiefs. Putting over 30 studio hours, the love Frenchy has for his big chief glows from this work of art. Applying the 3 color wash technique and flowing feathers, just as he did for the Bo Dollis jazz fest original.
