During our recent trip down through Maryland's Eastern Shore to Virginia, we spent a few days in Pocomoke City, MD. Not far from Pocomoke is Furnace Town, the site of an ancient brick blast furnace and surrounding historic support town. On the way to the entrance, some gorgeous Rose of Sharon bushes lined the path and I stopped to take a picture inspiring this painting. I'm not normally a Flower painter, but thought it was time for a challenge.
