Ghost Ranch, located in the New Mexico high desert between Santa Fe and Taos is a magical place for painters. Multi-colored bluffs, sandstone chimneys, sweeping vistas and the purple hump of the Pedernal formation in the distance give inspiration for countless images. This was the home and inspiration for Georgia O’Keefe for many years and evokes for me the same sense of wonder at the beauty of nature, even the desert, that it must have for her. I was fortunate to visit and paint here during the 2018 Plein Air Convention.
