Ghost Ranch in Abiqui, NM. This 9X12 oil on linen panel was painted from a photograph taken during a recent visit. Ghost Ranch is a magical place for everyone who visits, but especially for painters. The attraction for this painting was the gnarled dead tree in the foreground, but great views exist in every direction. Georgia O'Keefe painted here for years and never ran out of subjects. Can't wait to get back to try some other studies as the basis for a larger studio piece.
