Towards the Firth

The original inspiration for this painting was the view from a fellow artists studio a few miles from Findhorn in Moray.
From her garden studio window, you had an almost uninterrupted view to the Black Isle and the Moray Firth.
I loved the horizontal nature of the landscape and the structure has featured in many paintings since then.
However, in this painting my preoccupation was with the colour palette, rather than the composition.
