MessageLiliana Marquez, also known as "lilimarq," has been a vibrant part of the Boston, MA community since 1998. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Liliana was immersed in a rich cultural environment by her mother, fostering a love for art, music, dance, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and painting. This diverse upbringing profoundly influenced her artistic journey.
A graduate of the prestigious Caracas Institute of Design, Liliana holds a BA in Art and Graphic Design. Her philosophy of art centers on the innovative use of reclaimed and surplus architectural sample materials, which she has coined "REPOP ART." She passionately transforms discarded materials into dynamic 3D artworks, home décor, and furniture, infusing her creations with messages of life, hope, and positive energy. Liliana finds immense satisfaction in repurposing waste into art and cherishes the joy her work brings to others.
Liliana is dedicated to nurturing creativity in all minds. She conducts creative workshops for all ages in local libraries and nonprofit organizations, encouraging participants to explore language, structure, shape, color, and their unique qualities through hands-on projects. These workshops emphasize the use of recycled materials, inspiring all generations to see beauty in the overlooked and transform it into something extraordinary.
