My paintings combine my feelings of joy about the natural world in rural Nova Scotia and my love of colour. After a lifetime lived in downtown Toronto, I moved to Bear River NS 10 years ago with a yearning for nature, for the ocean and a need to grow a large garden of flowers. I never tire of painting these subjects or of capturing scenes of Nova Scotia. I prefer to paint from life and to channel the scene or flower’s energy onto the canvas.
