Summer is an artist who seeks meaning through making—using her hands, her curiosity, and her thoughts to engage in a dialogue with the world around her. With roots in traditional Chinese painting, she fell in love with the tactile nature of ceramics during her studies at Cabrillo College. Over time, her practice evolved into a fusion of mediums, integrating digital fabrication, ceramics, and painting in unexpected ways. Her work is driven by storytelling and explores themes of memory, identity, and contemporary life. Outside the studio, Summer enjoys a peaceful and joyful life with her family and her two lovely dogs.
