During the pandemic, Kris Casto of Casto Oaks Winery, offered her property as a place where local painters could continue their outdoor work. Yosemite, my normal "go - to" was closed, then highly regulated, so this offer was a saving grace for us painters, and for me, an opportunity to paint a new subject matter! It started with three of us, and grew to around eight. We met in the early mornings, then later in the evenings. The property is large so it was easy to disperse.
