Thinking about my kids and grandkids...
Today is my Rebirth Day. Getting an infusion of donor stem cells from someone in Europe. Can you imagine, the stem cell donor program is run internationally. Lucky me! The procedure will be done this p.m. The stem cells will look like a transfusion of blood and entered into my bloodstream through a tube. No invasive surgery. Sounds pretty simple and will last from 1/2 hour to two hours. After this I am blasted with anti-rejection drugs and minimal amounts of chemo. I may get to go home in 2 weeks depending on how my body handles the new stem cells. Time will tell.

I'm looking forward to being sung Happy Birthday to. The nurses like to say the day of your transplant is the day of your new life. I'll have a new birthday on July 30th and my regular birthday on August 31st. Not bad.
Feeling tired and breathless. Blood counts are low where they should be to make way for the new, healthy ones. Got to rest now.
