Continuing the formal and perceptual investigations introduced in the Light Mappings series, this painting examines how light reorganizes spatial relationships across simplified planes of color. The work also reflects on our relationship to the natural world as it is mediated by the built environment. Varied textures, lines, and mark-making describe the rough surfaces of a constructed yet weathered structure at the edge of the sea.
