Erin Hunt is a Canadian painter living and working on Fogo Island, NL. Her intimate-scale oil paintings are informed by the island’s natural landscape, found objects, visual ephemera, and the subtle terrain of interoception. They reveal themselves through an idiosyncratic language of colour and material touch, exploring the emergent nature of form and image in the space of abstraction.

Hunt has presented work at the Bonavista Biennale (NL), The Rooms (St. John's), The Plumb (Toronto), Fogo Island Art Gallery (Fogo Island), JK Contemporary (Fogo Island), The Painting Center (New York), Front Gallery (Houston), and in 2025 was long listed for the Sobey Art Award. Hunt's practice has been generously supported by Canada Council for the Arts, and her work is held in both private and public collections including The Rooms and the City of Ottawa, ON.
